ampliTex® Flax Reinforcement Fabrics

Supplier: BComp Ltd.

Description

ampliTex is a line of lightweight and high-performance fiber reinforcement fabrics made with European flax.

These reinforcement fabrics can be used in several types of composite manufacturing processes, including vacuum infusion or resin transfer molding (RTM) and prepreg compression molding (PCM).

The ampliTex line includes bi-axial, unidirectional (UD) and twill grades with low/no crimp and twist and excellent mechanical properties in automotive, aerospace, sporting goods (i.e. surf boards), and marine composite applications.

The flax used to produce ampliTex composites is known to impart high UV resistance, vibration damping, and high-radio transparency.
