Elevance Unify® 270 is a high-performing, biobased coalescing agent for waterborne coatings. It is designed to lower the VOC content (up to 50%) while retaining important performance properties for paints and coatings.
Elevance Unify® 270 contains 75% biorenewable content from a variety of natural oil feedstocks converted via Elevance’s unique metathesis process.
Compared to higher VOC coalescing agents, such as 2,2,4-trimethyl-1,3 pentanediol monoisobutyrate (TMB), Elevance Unify® 270 offers a more efficient, semi-volatile component that can reduce VOC emissions while retaining high-performance film properties, such as scrub color, gloss, hide and color heat aging, and scrub resistance.
Elevance Unify® 270 works with a broad range of resins for waterborne paint and coating formulations.
