HallGreen® Renewable Esters

Supplier: Hallstar

Description

HallGreen® renewable esters are plant-derived plasticizers and polymer modifiers that can be used to improve the processing of both bio-based and synthetic materials.

These bio-additives can be used in PLA, PHA, starch-based and other bio-polymers and hybrids as well as synthetic elastomers and PVC.

HALLGREEN® modifiers improve processing by reducing melt viscosity and temperature and reducing energy consumption. These bio-additives also reduce brittleness and impart impact resistance to polymers like PLA which is comparable to the commercially available petroleum-based impact modifiers.

Example Applications:

  • Film and Sheet
  • Food Packaging
  • Food Trays
  • Gaskets
  • Lubricants
  • Seals
